Our commitment
ProMedical Personnel Ltd (“ProMedical”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, contractors, clients, visitors, and anyone affected by our activities.
We comply with our legal duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other applicable UK health and safety legislation.
Our aim is to prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill health by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing effective control measures.
Key principles
We will:
- Provide and maintain safe premises, equipment, and working conditions.
- Identify and control health and safety risks arising from our activities.
- Ensure safe systems of work are in place for all roles and locations.
- Provide relevant health and safety training, information, and supervision.
- Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses, and unsafe practices.
- Maintain emergency procedures for fire, evacuation, and first aid.
Responsibilities
Management:
Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and this policy.
Provide resources to maintain high health and safety standards.
Employees, workers, and contractors:
Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others.
Follow health and safety instructions and safe working practices.
Report hazards, incidents, or concerns immediately.
Safer workplaces
We maintain safe access, exit routes, and work areas, and ensure:
- Equipment is maintained and used correctly.
- Protective clothing and safety devices are provided where required.
- Emergency exits are kept clear and accessible at all times.
Emergency procedures
- Fire safety information is displayed in all workplaces.
- Fire wardens coordinate evacuations during drills and emergencies.
- First aiders are available during working hours; first aid arrangements are displayed on notice boards.
- In the event of a pandemic or national health alert, measures will be put in place in line with official guidance to protect staff and service users.
Monitoring and review
- We regularly review risk assessments and workplace safety measures.
- Health and safety performance is monitored and discussed at management level.
- This policy will be reviewed annually or from time to time if there are significant changes in operations or legislation.
