People-First has always been our approach to all we do at ProMedical, so let’s get to know some of our people.

When you come to work here you will be supported from the very beginning by a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about what they do. One of those individuals who truly understands people and the workings of human nature is our lovely Emma!

Our Dedicated Director of People —Emma Pickering

Our experienced Human Resource (HR) lead here at ProMedical is our delightful Emma Pickering. Her role is wide-ranging, but with people always at its core, working in partnership with colleagues to promote both physical and mental health in the workplace.

Emma’s background supports and enables people to be the best version of themselves. Working with people to recognise what motivates them, what challenges them, and how they can work through those difficulties. As a person-centred therapeutic counsellor, she understands that people need to feel safe and respected in the workplace.

Emma’s passion for working with people started when she supported children with learning difficulties in respite units and helped them back into education. Emma worked with people who lived in deprivation and were disengaged from education and work. This work transitioned into a HR career whereby she recognised that employers needed to focus on getting the basics right.

Since completing post-graduate studies in HR at Anglia Ruskin University, she has worked in various sectors, including private, private-equity, public and not-for-profit. She is a proud Chartered Fellow Member of CIPD, Fellow Member of CMI, Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Motivational Maps practitioner.

ProMedical – Award-winning!

Having recently added to our awards as a Great Place to Work™ for the second year in a row, we are proud to add this award to our others – Great Place To Work™ Certified 2021, Best Workplaces™ for Women 2021, Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing 2022 and Best Workplaces™ 2022! A testament to Emma’s hard work, loyalty and belief in ProMedical. A reflection of the management’s dedication to excellence and a happy workforce and a huge indication that our people are happy coming to work here.

All the management team at ProMedical feel extremely proud of the people within the business; they made the awards possible—our team!

Our HR Director mirrors the rest of our management when she says, “I feel an incredible amount of pride in the contribution, the loyalty and the commitment of all our people—they speak, and we listen.

The last two years have been a challenging journey for all businesses with Covid-19 restrictions, but we are proud to say we made it through— stronger than ever, with the support of our people!

Thank you, #WeAreProMedical.
