Supplier Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

ProMedical Personnel Ltd (“ProMedical”, “we”, “our”) is committed to conducting business ethically, lawfully, and in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, UK employment law, and internationally recognised labour standards. We expect all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to uphold the same high standards. 

Prohibited Practices

We will not work with any supplier that engages in:

  • Forced, bonded, trafficked, or involuntary labour. 
  • Worker-paid recruitment fees or related costs. 
  • Retention of workers’ passports or identity documents. 
  • Unsafe or exploitative working conditions. 
  • Discrimination, harassment, or abuse in any form. 

Employment Standards

Suppliers must:

  • Provide fair, lawful, and transparent terms of employment. 
  • Pay wages at or above the legal minimum, on time and in full. 
  • Ensure lawful deductions only, with documented worker consent. 
  • Maintain safe, healthy working conditions compliant with UK law. 

 Supply Chain Responsibilities

  1. Suppliers must:
  • Cascade these standards to their own subcontractors and supply chains. 
  • Obtain ProMedical’s approval before subcontracting work relating to our contracts. 
  • Be transparent about their own supply chain and labour practices. 

Reporting & Engagement

Suppliers must:

  • Operate accessible, confidential grievance channels for workers. 
  • Ensure no retaliation against workers raising concerns in good faith. 

Breach & Consequences

Breaches must be reported to ProMedical immediately. Where breaches occur, suppliers must:

  • Take corrective action within agreed timescales. 
  • Remediate harm, including reimbursing unlawful recruitment fees. 
  • Understand that serious or repeated breaches may result in contract suspension or termination. 

Review

This Supplier Code of Conduct is reviewed annually, or from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice, and public sector procurement requirements.
